In his years as an attorney since 1981 and on the bench, Richard Edelman has dealt with a wide variety of substantive and procedural issues at all levels of the litigation process.  As a Justice on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals (Texas), he authored over seven hundred opinions on the merits in civil and criminal cases; participated as a panel member in over fourteen hundred other cases (authoring over a hundred concurring and dissenting opinions in those cases); and participated in hundreds of other per curiam opinions, dismissal orders, and original (mandamus and habeas corpus) proceedings.

His current practice is focused on handling civil appeals for clients and assisting other attorneys in summary judgment and other major motions, jury charge, preservation of appellate positions during trial, post-judgment, and appellate proceedings in civil cases.  Mr. Edelman received his law degree from the University of Texas with honors. He also holds a B.B.A in Accounting from the University of Texas and earned a CPA certification.
